Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify the longitudinal changes in job satisfaction by the characteristics of middle-old aged and wage workers and their relationship with life satisfaction. To this end, the analysis was made using the latent growth model based on the data from the first to fourth of the KLoSA(Korean Longitude Study of Ageing). As a result of the analysis, the job satisfaction of middle-old aged wage workers showed a linearly increasing change function. In addition, personal characteristics variables and employment characteristics variables were identified as factors that affected the change in job satisfaction of middle-old aged wage workers. Age, gender, educational background, health status, household income were significant as personal characteristics variables, while employment characteristics variables were significantly expected to include employee status, working hours, monthly wages, and four social insurance. Both the initial value and rate of change in job satisfaction have been found to have a significant effects on life satisfaction. This means that job satisfaction and life satisfaction have a positive relationship, and if the initial value of job satisfaction is high, life satisfaction is high, and as job satisfaction increases, life satisfaction is also high. Based on the research results, the discussion and research limitations on job satisfaction and life satisfaction of middle-old wage workers and the direction of follow-up research were suggested.
